In a new video from Moog, Academy Award winning composer Atticus Ross (“The Social Network”, “Gone Girl”) gives us a peek into his world of sound design and emotive sonic construction. Atticus scored the documentary Almost Holy which tells the story of a Gennadiy Mokhnenko, a Ukranian pastor who has been working to rehabilitate drug-addicted kids. But he’s also a vigilante who uses any force necessary to carry out his moral vision.
Atticus explores the techniques he uses to construct emotion through sound and shows off his very large Moog System 55 he used for developing the score. Check out the video above and for more sounds from the film, below is a piece he composed for the film with his brother Leopold Ross.
